Western Adventure #31: Hungry Horse Dam and Yummy Huckleberry Treats

Day 31–9/2/2024

Today after lunch, we took the opportunity to go with the Buskirks to the Hungry Horse Dam Visitor Center. We got some good pictures of the dam and enjoyed learning more about the history of the dam and of the area. We drove along the lake, looking at different sights. Ron got some really good pictures of the area.

We went into Hungry Horse to the Huckleberry Patch to shop and get a snack. Ron got a huckleberry shake. I did, too, and Vince got a slice of huckleberry pie. We split the milkshake and the pie. So good!!

Vince found his long sleeve shirt that he liked and bought that. Earlier, Vince had ridden his bike to see if he could find access to the river. He found a road with public access to the river. Now, he helped Ron find the road so we could go down to the river, and we could put our feet in the river. Laurie and I had our water shoes on, so we were able to walk around in the river and pick up pretty rocks.
